We Get By With A Little Help From Our Coworkers

Maggie, our Marketing Coordinator here at Carolina Basement Systems, discovered that the foundation of her home was falling apart and sinking into the ground - just a month before she was due to give birth. Fortunately for her, she works for the CBS family! We are not your average corporation. We are a family-focused company that cares about the well-being of each individual of our team. 

Our Production Manager, Jacob, and our Site Supervisor, Todd, donated their Saturday and hours of manual labor to stabilize Maggie's foundation to protect her home before her new baby arrived. They broke lots of sweat and got down in the dirt to install helical piers along the sinking foundation wall of her home. These piers transfer the weight of the home to load bearing soil to permanently stop settlement. Then, they addressed the root cause of the problematic soils that caused her home to settle in the first place - excess moisture around the foundation. They installed a buried downspout system to her gutter discharge lines to keep water from dumping directly onto her home's foundation. Now, water collected from the gutters will be directed a safe distance away from the home, keeping the surrounding soils dry and strong!
