Concrete Slab Lift in Pfafftown, NC

The homeowner on this job, Len, told us he had bought his 50-year-old home after being assured that there was no possibility of leakage issues. Imagine his surprise to find standing water at the base of his home after a heavy rain with a squeegee nearby. The concrete slab porch had sunk in the middle where the ground beneath it had settled and allowed water to rest against the house causing water damage and leakage into the basement.

After having to squeegee off his back porch after every major rain for two and a half years, Len had had enough. So, He contacted us to set up an appointment for a free estimate.

We got an estimate to him and were then able to get a two-man crew out to fix the problem. Our crew, Matt and Nick drilled holes into the concrete porch and strategically pumped polyurethane into them to fill out the sunken areas to lift it up so it would prevent leaking into the basement. They used levels to help judge how much the concrete had lifted to properly slope away from the home to keep water from the base of the house in the future. Matt and Nick were able to lift the porch, patch the holes, re-caulk, and clean up the area in under two hours.

Throughout the job Matt, a Team Leader, made sure to explain every step of the process to Len and get his feedback to make sure he understood and approved as the job progressed. The homeowner was skeptical that it would work at first, but once he saw the slab lift back into place along the original pour line he was impressed and thrilled to not have to worry every time it rains.

Wall Support in Clemmons, NC

The wall of this below ground garage was starting to crack in the middle and bow outward. Over time, as the pressure of the house weighed on top of the wall the stress became too much to bear and broke down the integrity of the wall. With the looming threat of a wall collapse and increasing water damage as well the homeowner decided to find a solution.

Our inspector was sent out to assess the situation and proposed our steel beams as well as our internal waterproofing system. This secures the wall and resists further bowing out of place. Our waterproofing system, WaterGuard, runs along the edge of the wall underneath the steel beams collecting water from the wall and runs it into a sump pump. From there the water is pumped out into the yard away from the base of the home.

After finding the problem and proposing the solution the homeowner decided to trust us with their home and we installed the products quickly and effectively. The homeowner was thrilled to have this problem solved, and even though some maintenance can be required the alternative of a collapsed wall and flooded garage is far worse.

Crawl Space Repair in Clemmons, NC

The block wall of this unconventional crawl space was getting exposed to water and was beginning to have issues with maintaining consistent temperatures. This size of crawl space is especially vulnerable to weathering affects and contained a lot of exposed wood that could become moldy or rotten from moisture.

With these issues in mind the solution was to install our waterproofing system, vapor barrier and our dehumidifier. This has been keeping water out of the crawl space and away from the home and assisting in regulating the internal air temperature. Once a crawl space is sealed off from the outside weather it is much easier to keep dry and at one temperature.

These improvements protect the home, creates much more usable space for the house, and adds value as well. Eventually unprotected dirt crawl spaces like this will start causing complications for a home. The time until these issues arrive varies for every home, but this homeowner can rest assured in the protection that these products provide.

Protecting Basement from Water Intrusion in Winston-Salem, NC

Sometimes there are jobs where the entire basement is not needed to be waterproofed or protected. This job had one room that was experiencing seepage and the intrusion of water was producing mold and risking rotting along the wall.

We ran our WaterGuard system along the edge of the room and ran it into a sump pump to rid the room of water that makes its way through the wall. We also installed CleanSpace along the wall to act as a vapor barrier and assist in keeping the moisture in the air under control.

There are many options available to rid a room of these issues. Most homes require a solution or mix of products to solve its problems. For this home a vapor barrier and WaterGuard system for waterproofing is what was decided would help alleviate the complications from water intrusion.

Home in Winston-Salem, NC with Sinking Foundation

The problem facing all homes is time and this one is no different. Over the years the settling and washing away of dirt around the house had caused the foundation to shift. Shifting occurs in various forms and reveals itself with many different symptoms. This home had started to experience a sinking effect where one end of the home had dropped, and the stress of this change caused cracking foundation walls and separation from the slab floor.

With parts of the home in poor condition the homeowner chose to call us to inspect the issue. The symptoms were clear and the solution obvious, which was accepted by the homeowner. This cure was helical and push piers around the home. Using piers to stabilize the foundation of the house deep into the earth keeps the house from sinking due to erosion and another great benefit from these pier systems is that some lift to the house can be attainable, although is not always definite.

However, this house went great. The piers were relatively easy to install around and under the building and lift was achieved as well. Now the home is protected from sliding further down, causing more issues with cracking walls and floors, and has been lifted back in place closing some existing cracks. The homeowners were very happy with the result and we were proud to add it to the books! If you are concerned for your foundation like these homeowners were, we would love you to call and have us inspect your home to see what solutions work best.

Protecting Moldy Crawl Space with Vapor Barrier in Winston-Salem, NC

Coming from a moldy and musty smelling crawl space this area under the home was transformed into a clean and efficient part of the home. This crawl space was suffering from temperature changes, high humidity, and mold growth. All these problems worked in tandem to chip away at the health of the house above. With moldy unhealthy air getting into the HVAC and into the living areas and wood running risk of rotting it was time to take steps toward preventing these problems.

We inspected the crawl space from inside and found the root core and most effective treatment for our homeowners needs to be a vapor barrier and thermal wall insulation. These two products seal off the moisture from getting into the air from the ground and vents and protects the crawl space’s temperature from rapidly changing due to outside temperatures. This wall insulation and vapor barrier are designed with crawl space encapsulation in mind and have kept the humidity of the crawl space under control.

After we finished installation our homeowners were very happy with the job and the damage prevented from being done to the home. Over the course of a lifetime homes experience problems like this, especially inside a crawl space, but our patented products and systems are designed to prevent and slow down these effects better than any other. We were proud of the work done to this home and the protection it provides.

Protecting Moist Crawl Space in Lewisville, NC

This musty and wet crawl space had all types of problems. Ripped up plastic and clumped insulation left it susceptible to these issues such as mold growth, high humidity, and trouble with keeping consistent temperatures. Over time, these troubles persisted, and the homeowner decided it was time to look for a permanent solution.

We offered our free inspection and the homeowner chose the option that they felt, along with our expert opinion, best suited their situation. This solution was CleanSpace vapor barrier. Unlike the existing vapor barrier in this crawl space, CleanSpace is designed to protect crawl space and does not rip. This barrier keeps crawl space’s air much drier.

We installed the CleanSpace by wrapping it along every surface that could allow water vapor inside. This gives the crawl space a neat and clean look, and it allows the vapor barrier to do its job by protecting against vapor getting into the crawl space air.

After the job was done the customer was happy. Everything went according to plan. This part of the home is now incredibly more protected than It was with ripped black plastic and falling out insulation.

Waterproofing Flooded Garage in Winston-Salem, NC

When the rain comes it finds little resistance getting inside this garage-basement hybrid. Or at least it did, and years of having this trouble led the homeowners to finally search for a permanent solution. We went out to inspect the, mostly underground, garage and found that a full perimeter waterproofing system was its best bet to stay dry.

Our WaterGuard system is designed to catch water as it comes in and pump it out through a sump pump. These pumps can hold large amounts of water and pumps reliably through tough storms. This garage had a lot of water damage already, but we were able to install our system seamlessly and even incorporate the existing drain into the system. Doing this was a request from the homeowner and made perfect sense. We were very glad it worked out and that the garage is not protected.

Of course, there are more ways to protect this room even further from increasing humidity and water seepage, but the implemented system is perfect for keeping the walls and floor dry.

Waterproofing Wet Clemmons, NC Basement with WaterGuard

Efflorescence was covering most of this basement’s block walls. This sign of deep-water seepage was an indication that the rise in the humidity and occasional standing water inside the basement was in fact coming from the block walls. So, to solve the issue the owner of the home had us inspect it for him.

Our inspector went to the home and decided that a WaterGuard waterproofing system and a vapor barrier along the block walls was the best solution for this basement. The waterproofing is there to keep water from standing inside the basement and its walls, and the vapor barrier is there to help combat the humidity. By trapping the water into the wall and not letting it escape into the air, it will keep the humidity low and make the water flow into our WaterGuard waterproofing system.

This basement was ready to be finished, but constant water intrusion and damage has made it hard to work with. The products we installed will make it much nicer to be in and eliminate the risk of flooding that can ruin whatever is stored there. Our customers were quite happy with the work we did and are glad to have this space of their home protected from the problems that the water seepage had caused.

Leaking and Bowing Basement Wall Solution in Winston-Salem, NC

The foundation walls of this home had developed serious issues from the shifting ground and changing water levels. The pressure that these shifts put on the basement walls caused it to crack and bow inward. From these cracks formed the perfect avenue for water to get inside the basement. Pools of water were common to find, and the paint on the walls had started to wear off.

Our inspection showed that a full waterproofing system and wall support system was necessary to fully protect this basement. This installation process was to dig a trench around the perimeter and under the footer of the basement to lay in our WaterGuard interior waterproofing product. We ran this into a TripleSafe sump pump that forced the water outside the home through a French drain system. While the trench was being dug, we installed CarbonArmor strips to the wall which are made to stabilize a bowing wall. They are flexible and more resistant than steel beams, and they work perfectly for this type of horizontal wall cracking.

After we finished and cleaned up, the homeowners were thrilled with the result. The basement of this home was at risk of a serious wall collapse and water damage from water leakage. Fortunately, we were able to help and smoothly installed our patented systems designed to protect basements from these common basement problems.

Waterproofing Basement with Massive Water Seepage Problem in Walkertown, NC

The entire block wall around this basement was covered in efflorescence. The residue left over from water evaporation was extremely evident, and the water was starting to cause harm. Mold growth, wall break downs, cracks, musty smells, and high humidity are all symptoms that come from extreme water intrusion. This basement was experiencing most of these.

The homeowner realized the issue with the water seepage and wanted us to inspect the issue. We found that a perimeter interior waterproofing system would be the best solution given the problem and considering the concerns of the homeowner. This system is comprised of our WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter and a TripleSafe sump pump in the corner with a battery backup.

We installed these products like we have thousands of times before, using gravel, gravity, and our patented systems to protect the home. Once the waterproofing was done and tested, the homeowners were very pleased. Any water that tries to seep into this basement will be caught and sent outside, away from the home.

Repairing Sinking Concrete with PolyLevel in Clemmons, NC

The concrete walkway outside of this home had sunk and settled into the dirt. This gradual decline risked cracking and was generally inconvenient to use. We inspected the walkway and proposed a solution to repair the concrete that is less of a time consuming and expensive project as re-pouring the whole thing would be.

The solution was to use our patented PolyLevel foam that is injected underneath the concrete to fill the empty voids and stabilize the concrete. Usually, concrete sinks because of erosion or settlement underneath the concrete. So, by filling those holes up with our poly foam, which hardens within hours, it allows the existing concrete to be renewed to its original state without having to re-pour it.

Once we injected the foam, the walkway lifted and was stabilized. The finishing step was to seal the cracks and fill the holes that had to be drilled into the face of the concrete. After all that, the job was finished, and the homeowners were very happy with their renewed and repaired walkway.

Fixing Leaking Basement with Interior Waterproofing in Clemmons, NC

Water leakage into a basement is often indicated by efflorescence on the walls. However, painted block walls can cover this up for a time before it starts to chip. This basement had signs of leakage around the base of the wall where water would come in and pool on the concrete. This seepage left the air humid and was a catalyst for mold growth. The homeowners were tired of this water intrusion and had us fix the problem.

We installed a system that waterproofs the interior of the basement by catching the water as it comes in and before it gets into the basement itself. The WaterGuard drain sends the water from under the footer to a sump pump that sends the water outside. This basement also benefitted from our CleanSpace vapor barrier on the wall, which would keep water from evaporating into the air.

This system sealed the basement from water leakage and drove the humidity down. With the water being drained and the humidity decreased, the basement is at much less risk for mold growth and eventual rot. The homeowners were happy with this system, and it has been of great use to them and the home through the recent heavy rains.

Waterproofing Flooding Basement in Winston-Salem, NC

The basement in this home had chronic issues with water seepage and flooding. The water intrusion made it difficult to store items safely and created a musty smell throughout the basement. Eventually, the homeowners were tired of these problems and contacted us to provide a permanent solution to the problem.

We installed out patented WaterGuard and TripleSafe sump pump system with CleanSpace vapor barrier on the wall. This system collects intruding water before it gets inside the basement and expels the water outside of the home. It also provides protection against water vapor evaporating into the air which raises the humidity. With this practically seamless system in place, the basement lost no functionality while maintaining a dry space to use as designed.

The homeowners were happy with our work when we were done. The system was tested and set up to work 24/7 and even when the power goes out. The system is incredible easy to maintain and we were proud to have protected another basement.

Waterproofing Basement with Massive Water Leakage in Winston-Salem, NC

This home’s basement had been drenched in water over the years. The block walls were doing very little to keep water out, and when we dug a trench to install our waterproofing system, the trench immediately flooded from pent up water. The large-scale water issue also led to bowing walls as the pressure behind them was in constant flux. We came with our patented and reliable solutions to fix the basement.

To keep this basement dry, we installed WaterGuard drainage around the perimeter and ran it into a sump pump. This system collects water before it enters the home and pumps it out safely away. We also put CarbonArmor strips along the bowing walls to support them and stop further movement. Lastly, we covered the walls in CleanSpace vapor barrier to keep moisture out of the air. All these products work together to keep the basement dry and safe.

The homeowners were very happy with the way these products changed their basement. The space is now dry and usable and not an ever-growing problem.

Interior Drainage Waterproofing in Clemmons, NC

Efflorescence on the block walls of this basement made it obvious that water seepage was a major issue. The frequent leaking would ruin stored items and negatively affect the air of the home. To get rid of this problem permanently, the homeowners called us to inspect and install some of our patented solutions.

We integrated our interior waterproofing system with an interior drainage system. This WaterGuard runs under the floor around the wall and collects intruding water before it enters the basement. The CleanSpace vapor barrier also assists in this and keeps the air dry. Once the water is collected, it runs into the TripleSafe Sump Pump that we installed. We put in two different pumps into this basement to hedge against pump failures due to overflow.

After the system was fully implemented, the homeowners were happy with the look and the protection. The basement can finally be used as intended and many negative effects can be avoided.

Interior Waterproofing System Installation in Rural Hall, NC

Water seepage into this home’s basement led to all kinds of complications such as high humidity, musty smells, and ruined storage items. It did not take long for the homeowners to realize the depth of this problem and started searching for a solution.

We inspected the leakage issues and designed a system using our patented products and solutions to keep the basement dry. We installed WaterGuard drainage around the perimeter of the basement and ran that into a sump pump to send the water safely outside the home. Our interior waterproofing system captures water before it enters the home and is extremely serviceable.

When we finished the installation, the homeowners were happy to not worry about basement flooding anymore. This basement space can once again be used to store items without a fear of them being ruined by flood water.

Interior Basement Waterproofing in Winston-Salem, NC

Water leakage started to negatively effect this home and its basement. Water from outside the walls was seeping into the block causing paint chipping, high humidity, and rotting wall framing. The basement needed a solution before it became a completely unusable space.

So, the homeowners hired us to inspect the water issues and construct a plan to solve them. We identified the ways that water seepage was getting into the basement and designed a system that would eliminate the effects of that water seepage. This system runs under the floor and along the base of the basement to collect water from weep holes and sends it outside using our patented sump pump design.

After we installed the products and repoured the concrete floor, the basement was set to be finished properly without risk of water seepage behind the walls. The homeowners were happy with the result and being able to hear the pump work after large rains brings them a peace of mind.

Winston-Salem, NC Concrete Porch Stabilization and Lift

The carport off the side of this home had an elevated concrete slab that started to sink and shift. Over time, a void underneath it had allowed room for this shifting, and the homeowners wanted a solution before it was too late.

So, we inject PolyLevel under the slab to stabilize and attempt lift. We were successful at both! The concrete was lifted back into place and the solid polyurethane keeps the car port stabilized from further sinking. After we injection worked properly, the crew cut away the excess and sealed the cracks with NexusPro to seal and waterproof the cracks.

The job was executed seamlessly, and the homeowners were happy to have a protected carport.

Burying Downspouts in Clemmons, NC

There were three problematic downspouts outside this home in Clemmons, NC. The existing downspouts were using a corrugated pipe to send water away from the home; however, this type of piping can get crushed and cause backups in the system. Afraid of potential water issues around the foundation of the home, the homeowner decided to have us install some secure buried downspouts.

We dug a far way out to release the water flowing downgrade. At the end of the pipe, we put gravel and a drain cap to allow water to easily flow out and soak up. We did this around the home at three separate downspouts. This type of buried downspout is a step up from corrugated piping and will keep the homes water management more secure.

The homeowner was happy with the upgrade to his water drainage around the home. After we re-filled the trenches and cleaned up, it looked as if we were never even there.

Protecting Porch Steps from Sinking and Cracking in Clemmons, NC

Years of erosion and dirt displacement left a massive void underneath the concrete slabs around this home. The most notable was underneath the front porch steps. This gap was starting to cause problems for the walkway and porch steps by forcing them to sink and slope. Eventually, this would crack and cave in.

So, the homeowners hired us to use our PolyLevel solution to stabilize and protect these areas of concern before the slabs started to fall away from the home. We carefully injected our PolyLevel underneath the concrete to spread it evenly and form a strong level of stabilization.

This job was quick and easy and when we left the homeowners were very happy with the result. Of course, it will take time to notice the effect but the concrete that was going to crack and break away will remain strong.

Basement Dehumidifier and Waterproofing in Kernersville, NC

Moisture seepage was getting into the concrete walls of this home’s basement and causing problems. High humidity, mold growth, and general flooding were among these issues. The homeowners knew they needed to find a permanent solution, and we were able to help.

We sealed the walls in CleanSpace vapor barrier to prevent moisture from getting into the air, installed our interior waterproofing to collect and send unwanted water intrusion away from the home, and added our patented basement dehumidifier to purify and dry the basement air. These three systems and groups of products work together to keep this basement dry all the time.

When we were finished, the homeowners were thrilled to know that a permanent and serviceable solution was added to their home and that leaking water would not be able to ruin their basement.

Stabilizing Back Porch Add-on in Winston-Salem NC

The wooden trusses underneath this home had started to experience rot and mold growth that questioned their ability to support the home. A porch, that was a recent add-on by the homeowner, had too little foundational support and began to sag and pull away from the home. These issues culminated in the homeowner calling us to inspect the issue.

We proposed what we thought would be best in encapsulating the crawl space to keep moisture from harming the trusses anymore and supporting the weak areas with SmartJacks form underneath. The homeowner eventually chose to just go with our SmartJack solution under their porch as it perfectly met their needs and stabilized this part of the home.

In this case, the homeowner decided what was best for her home’s health after viewing all the different solutions we provide. We still recommended she take care of the moisture in the crawl space, but we were happy to help bring peace of mind to her by stabilizing the floors.

Stabilizing Sinking Foundation in Lewisville, NC

Shifting soil around this home caused the foundation of the home to settle and sink. This sinkage started to cause cracking and separation of the exterior and interior walls.

The homeowner recognized these stress fractures and had us come inspect. We found that the sinking home needed to be supported before much more damage could occur. After getting proper permits and signing a contract with the homeowner, we installed our helical piers under the foundation and carbon fiber strips along its walls.

These piers and carbon fiber strips help support the foundation and holds the interior walls together. The homeowners were thrilled without work and have peace of mind about the state of their foundation.

Waterproofing Leaking Basement in Belews Creek, NC

Water seepage coming through the block wall in this basement was chipping paint and damaging the wall. On top of that, is would seep onto the floor making things wet, and it would also raise the humidity levels.

We were called out to fix the problem permanently, so we installed our WaterGuard drainage system. This system, in tandem with our TripleSafe sump pump, can collect and pump out gallons of water easily and keep the basement space dry. It is also a perfectly serviceable system that only suggests a yearly maintenance.

The homeowner was thrilled to have this space of their home back and as dry as can be.

Perimeter Drainage System Installation in Winston-Salem, NC

Water seepage started to chip the paint on this basement and allowed water to get inside. The increasingly wet basement was starting to become a problem for the homeowners.

We inspected the basement and found that our WaterGuard perimeter drainage system would capture and expel the unwanted water seepage. The WaterGuard was installed under the floor and sends the intruding water into our TripleSafe sump that safely and effectively sends water away from the home.

With our system in place, the homeowner’s basement will stay clean and dry.

Stabilizing Weak Foundation Basement Wall in Winston-Salem, NC

The basement walls under this home were being pressurized and began to bow. When the walls moved, it shifted the finished dry wall and framing of the basement. Water intrusion was also a factor that deteriorated the health of the basement.

The homeowners decided they needed to protect the basement before re-finishing. So, they tore out the dry wall and hired us to support their foundation walls. We installed steel PowerBraces against the wall to keep the block wall from falling in and stabilizing the support.

The homeowners were thrilled to not have to worry about the stability of their foundation walls moving forward in their basement project.

Clemmons, NC Basement Waterproofing Project

The basement under this home was used for storage, but water seepage started to make it difficult to keep things dry. The humidity was increasing, and dampness started to become a concern.

We cleared out an area and dug a trench to install our WaterGuard drainage system. This drainage seals off and collects water before it gets inside the home and send it to our sump pump.

This new system keeps the water out of the basement and helps lower the humidity. The homeowners were very happy with our installation and products.

Basement Waterproofing in Kernersville, NC

This standard basement was experiencing small leaks and water stains. The homeowners started to notice this and wanted to find a solution that would alleviate the leaking permanently.

This kind of leakage can ruin a home and make it impossible to finish the basement. So, we inspected the spots on the wall and proposed a full perimeter drainage system to waterproof the basement and protect the interior. Our WaterGuard was placed along the walls and ran into our TripleSafe sump pump to pump water out of the home.

The homeowners were very happy with this system that works 24/7 to keep the basement dry.

Water was seeping into this dugout basement and was ruining the finished areas of the basement. The homeowner needed us to design a complete and permanent solution to keep moisture out of his home.

So, we designed and quoted our patented interior waterproofing and sealing system that keeps basements clean and dry all the time. We installed WaterGuard around the perimeter and at the base of the home that ran into our TripleSafe sump pump. Lastly, we sealed the open crawl space with CleanSpace vapor barrier to keep water out of the air.

The homeowner was thrilled with these improvements and could finally finish the basement without fear of flooding and rotting wood behind the drywall.

Leveling Concrete Sidewalk in Pfafftown, NC

Overtime, ground settlement and water runoff had shifted this concrete walkway. The dips and angles were causing it to be impractical and a dangerous trip hazard.

We drilled holes in the concrete and pumped PolyLevel underneath the concrete to fill the voids underneath. Once the vacant areas under the concrete had been filled, the concrete was level and back in place. Also, it is stabilized and protected from further settlement. The last step was to seal the cracks with NexusPro which waterproofs and binds the sidewalk together.

The homeowners were so happy to have a useable and aesthetically pleasing concrete walkway.

Winston-Salem, NC Crawl Space Encapsulation

The exposed ground and walls inside this crawl space were letting water into the air. The increased moisture made it humid and caused increased mold growth as well ad made the air musty. The potential for rotting wood grew higher and higher, so the homeowners decided to fix the problem permanently.

We installed a full encapsulation system to insulate the walls and sealed the ground from any temperature and water issues. These products work together to maintain a healthy air quality inside the crawl space, and the homeowners were very satisfied with the results.

Lewisville, NC Basement Waterproofing and Foundation Support

This home was about 20 years old and had seen multiple owners. The current owners bought the home and immediately started to find water damage issues and other foundation issues. It turned out that the homebuilders cut corners that caused the porch to sink, the waterproofing to fail, and too much pressure on the basement walls.

This started to bow the walls and water was leaking in constantly. The new homeowners started to look for a permanent solution and had us inspect the home. We found that another company had installed an interior system that was not equipped to handle the level of water issues around the home.

We removed the failing systems and installed our own patented solutions around the basement. This waterproofed the entire basement and stabilized the block walls. The security we provided this home was much appreciated by the homeowners and much needed to make the home safe.

Winston-Salem, NC Crawl Space Repair and Stabilization

Like most crawl spaces, moisture had no problem getting inside around the black plastic vapor barrier. Water vapor and other water seepage was causing mold growth and unhealthy air to infiltrate the home.

We cleared out the old, failing barrier and installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier and SilverGlo wall insulation. This sealed the entire space and keeps the water vapor outside. We made sure to wrap and seal the barrier around the existing home supports to leave no room for water to get through.

Wet Crawlspace in Belews Creek, NC

Lonie from Belews Creek contacted  Carolina Basement Systems after noticing an issue of water in his crawlspace. A wet crawlspace can cause severe mold and rot issues- it can even attract unwanted pests like termites, rodents, and snakes. Moisture problems within a crawlspace can also drain your energy bill, since damp air requires more energy to heat or cool.

Our expert team installed a CleanSpace encapsulation system throughout the entire crawlspace to seal and protect the area from water vapors in the ground. They included CleanSpace drainage matting underneath the lining to collect any water and guide it away from the crawlspace. Next, they added a top-notch dehumidifier, the SaniDry Sedona. There was water running right into the basement and a giant crack had appeared starting at the front side of the house and running all the way down into the basement. A wet basement can be a nightmare for any homeowner! Moisture from a basement can ruin a home's floors, walls, and even roofing. Wall Repair in Tobaccoville, NC

Ruthann of Tobaccoville contacted Carolina Basement Systems after noticing that water was seeping through cracks in her basement walls. This problem can occur because there is water in the soil all around your foundation, and when soil absorbs water it expands in every direction. This puts pressure on the foundation walls and can eventually lead to shifting and cracks. Water will then seep through, even the smallest crack, causing the crack to expand and groundwater to get inside of a basement. This is a problem that no homeowner wants to deal with. Good thing Ruthann contacted the basement professionals!

Our trained team of experts got right to work on permanently stabilizing these walls with the GeoLock wall anchor system. This consists of placing heavy-duty earth anchors into stable soil away from the foundation wall and attaching them to steel anchors with long rods. This system will not only secure the wall firmly in its place, but once tightened overtime this can straighten the walls back to their original position. Next, our team installed a  LawnScape outlet, a durable grated opening for the sump pump's discharge line to help ensure that water is safely directed away from the home.
