Basement Waterproofing in Greensboro, NC

Mary Knesel was having serious issues with water damage on the floors along the perimeter of her basement. This area is a space where friends and family gather in order to spend quality time together, so this was an issue she wanted fixed and wanted fixed with care. In order to do this she called the Carolina Basement Systems team! The primary foreman, Jose Cerda, took extra care in remedying Mary's issues. In order to fix these issues Jose installed a Basement Air Machine in order to rid Mary's basement of excess moisture. He also installed a Sump Pump and WaterGuard which aids in collecting the water entering the basement and redirecting it to a non problematic site on the property.

Slab Repair in High Point, NC

Just because there is not a cracked in your slab or peices missing does not mean that your slab does not need help.  In this instance, foundation issues were causing the slab to sink in some places.  This could be because the soil underneath your home is contracting or expanding, or because the fill soil was not compacted properly.  Even the best jobs can struggle with compacting the soil properly!  This problem will only lead to bigger issues, so fixing it when it is small is imperative.

Moldy and Messy Crawl Space Repair in Greensboro, NC

The crawl space of a home can be the catalyst for many issues and has a unique role for the house. This job showed early signs of moisture and temperature regulation issues as well as a sinking upstairs floor. These symptoms and issues were taken care of by installing a vapor barrier and a SmartJack.

The problems that this home had was easy to treat using the crawl space. The CleanSpace and SilverGlo applied to the walls and throughout the crawl space helps to block vapor and help to regulate humidity within the home. Also, the crawl space for the house was the perfect location to install a SmarJack that greatly supports the floor above it and even has a chance to level a sagging floor back out.

After this smooth installation it was very enjoyable to take in how clean and neat the crawl space looked. The homeowner was very pleased with the installation from start to finish with the service, effectiveness of the products, and the aesthetic as well.

Basement and Crawl Space Waterproofing in Greensboro, NC

Sometimes jobs are quick and easy, but every now and then a major overhaul is required. This home was experiencing excess levels of seepage. Water stood along the basement floor and was inches deep within the back part of the crawl space. The water damage, impracticality, and threat to the integrity of the home’s foundation was increasing with time.

This being the case the homeowner decided to waterproof and vapor barrier all of it. Our two-man crew went into the unknown and when they found the pool of water inside the crawl space, they drained it of its water and cleaned out the debris. This was done before being able to install a single product. They spent an entire week, working as late at 9pm to get the job done in time, but the results were unbelievable.

This basement and crawl space mixed house is now protected from water entry and looks amazing. We installed our patented waterproofing system utilizing WaterGuard, EZflow, and sump pumps, as well as our vapor barrier CleanSpace along its entirety. The homeowner was shocked to find the extent of the water seepage but after the job was completed, he was thrilled with the finished work.

Crawl Space Encapsulation in Browns Summit, NC

This crawl space in Browns Summit needed a full encapsulation. It was quickly building up trash from unneeded items and the black plastic and insulation that was placed when the house was being built was wearing out. The plastic had started to rip and rise away from the corners exposing the ground and failing at its only purpose. With water intrusion on a regular basis and the current short-term solutions failing the homeowner they decided to install a system that actually protects their home.

We installed CleanSpace, EZflow, a dehumidifier, and a sump pump. This system fully waterproofs the crawl space from the interior and protects the air from moisture. The waterproofing runs around the perimeter of the crawl space and is pumped out through the sump pump. The moisture in the air is kept in check using the dehumidifier as well as the vapor barrier that keeps water from the ground and water from the air outside from getting into the air inside the crawl space.

This home went from being problematic and at risk of future issues to clean, protected, and has seen an increase in value. The homeowners were very pleased with the job from the way it looked to the square footage they gained and the protection that this system offers.

Crawl Space Encapsulation in Whitsett, NC

This home’s crawl space was built with minimal protection. Like a lot of crawl spaces, they are built with insulation on the top and black plastic on the ground. Unfortunately, these are temporary solutions and aren’t very efficient. The homeowner of this home was wanting to be proactive and protect his property before it became a problem, as well as clean the space out to add usable space to his house.

We cleaned out the black plastic which had started to rip, exposing the ground and not providing protection from water vapor and installed our patented CleanSpace vapor barrier. This looks much cleaner but also protects the crawl space a lot more effectively. The CleanSpace along with SilverGlo insulation on the walls insulates and protects this crawl space from moisture in the air and assists in regulating the internal temperature of the home.

In addition to having our patented products installed, this crawl space’s insulation was not showing signs of deterioration from condensation and mold, so we were able to keep it in place. Being able to do so saves it from getting ruined in the future and adds another layer of insulation to the home. Once we were finished the crawl space looked great and the homeowner was very happy. The crawl space not only became a usable part of his home but is now a much more energy efficient space.

Leaky and Unfinished Basement Waterproofing in Greensboro, NC

The painted block wall of this home’s basement had begun to chip paint and hold water. Once the water made its way to the block wall it stored up inside itself and during big rains would start leaking into the basement area. This unhealthy situation led the homeowners to us.

We inspected the issue and quickly recognized this common problem. As water levels in the ground would rise and the basement walls were beginning to be exposed to run off, water could easily find its way to the block wall. After reviewing our solutions and having questions answered the homeowners were very confident with contracting us.

We were able to install this project in one day and got it completely running. Our system waterproofed the entire basement and protected the air from water vapor coming through the walls. This keep water off the floor of course, but also help to keep the humidity inside lower. These clients were satisfied with our work and very pleased with our inspection process.

Humid Greensboro, NC Crawl Space Wrapped in Vapor Barrier

Tattered plastic and insulation covered the floor of this humid and moldy crawl space. There were signs of water damage on the block walls, but we were there to protect the crawl space against rises in humidity that would form mold underneath the home and waft into the living areas. To do this we treated the crawl space as if it were part of the home. The most efficient option, chosen by the homeowner, was a vapor barrier covering encapsulating the entire crawl space.

The way CleanSpace vapor barrier works is simple; it keeps moisture out of the air inside the crawl space by sealing off the areas that water vapor exists. By wrapping up the walls and interior supports the water does not have a way to escape. This does not do much to rid the block walls of physical water, but it protects the air from that water in the form of moisture and helps lower humidity.

After we finished encapsulating the crawl space with our patented CleanSapce vapor barrier the homeowners were very happy with the result. The crawl space before was in rough shape. The space was completely useless, made it hard to heat and cool the home, and had an ever-growing risk of mold growth. Now the crawl space is more economic for the home and works to protect itself from the weather.

Interior Crawl Space Waterproofing in Gibsonville, NC

Compared to our typical crawl space encapsulations this job was very simple, however the situation did bring about some challenges. The owner of the home did not want to upgrade the existing plastic covering inside the crawl space and was only looking for a waterproofing system. So, to do this we had to carefully pull up the plastic, without it ripping, and install our waterproofing products. In addition to this, we had to level portions of the crawl space back out after rain muddied up the ground around the sump pump pit.

Once our system was in the ground, and ready to protect the crawl space, it was relatively simple to make the job look clean and to re-lay the thin black plastic cover. We usually recommend a much stronger vapor barrier that is more resistant to rips and tears, as well as some other humidity and air quality control measures, but the job was finished as intended and just in time.

With the rain that week starting to pick up the crawl space needed something to keep it from flooding, and that is what we provided. The homeowner was happy with the installation and the protection it offered to his home.

Waterproofing Cracked and Moldy Basement in Julian, NC

This house has experienced many years of water damage in its basement. After every rain, water would get inside and build up inside the block walls. This increase in moisture began to cause mold and cracking. Once the homeowner started looking for permanent solutions to this problem, they called us to inspect it for them.

Upon seeing the state of the basement our inspector suggested a full perimeter interior waterproofing system with a vapor barrier along the block walls. This system, utilizing WaterGuard waterproofing, a TrippleSafe sump pump, and CleanSpace vapor barrier is designed to keep basements dry during rains. The vapor barrier assists in lowering humidity and subsequent mold growth, while the WaterGuard and TrippleSafe system is there to handle the actual water coming into the block walls and basement area.

Once we installed the products the homeowners were happy with the results. It was a long time coming to have this protection from water intrusion into the home and they could start to utilize the space more effectively.

Controlling Humidity Inside Greensboro, NC Crawl Space

This open crawl space, exposing the ground, was causing issues with humidity. Moisture from the ground and from outside the crawl space was getting into the air inside the crawl space and raising the humidity levels. This process had started to make the crawl space at risk for mold growth and made it more difficult for the home to regulate its temperature. To solve this problem, we went out to install a vapor barrier, dehumidifying air system, and to seal off the crawl space from the outside air.

The CleanSpace vapor barrier is wrapped along the entire crawl space and up the interior piers to keep all possible, moisture holding, areas from releasing vapor into the air. The second tier of this job was to seal off the crawl space. Covering vents and adding a sealed door to the crawl space allows the air inside the crawl space to be handled independently and less affected by outside factors. Doing this also helps set the stage for our SaniDry air system which is a dehumidifier designed specifically for crawl spaces. These three systems in place are going to keep this crawl space’s air quality much higher and less humid.

After the install, the homeowners were pleased with our work. The home will run much more efficiently now and keep the crawl space safer from problems like mold growth.

Protecting Walk-In Crawl Space from Humidity in Oak Ridge, NC

This home had a very large crawl space. Unfortunately, it still had issues like every other crawl space. With a dirt floor, block walls, and block piers running through it there were plenty of spaces that water could get inside. The water getting in was typically manifesting as a vapor in the air and subsequently raised the humidity level. After a while of this, the homeowner decided to have us inspect the home.

The walk-in crawl space was very humid and causing issues for the home. Potential mold growth and inefficient heating and cooling were among the most critical to address. High humidity caused by water in the air is always bad because it creates the perfect environment for mold to grow and will ruin the wood inside. This also leaves problems for the air flowing into the living areas because the air inside the crawl space will always escape through the rest of the home. So, the moldy air can get everywhere and if not regulated can make it hard to heat or cool the home.

We went in and installed our patented CleanSapce vapor barrier throughout the crawl space. This vapor barrier is designed for crawl space, so it does not rip and keeps the water vapor out of the air. It works for ground, block walls, and up piers to have maximum protection. So, now this crawl space is much more efficient at regulating the air quality, which improves the health of the entire home, and it is more usable as a storage space. The homeowner was very particular about the way he wanted things and we were able to meet his needs and left the job with him very happy about the work.

Waterproofing Moldy Crawl Space in Gibsonville, NC

Constantly flooding and high humidity was causing a lot of mold to grow inside this crawl space. The mold was on most of the floor joists and the musty smell was being circulated throughout the home. This issue plagued the home and it is a common problem to have when there is little protection from water inside a crawl space.

To solve the problem, we inspected the home and worked with the homeowner to choose the best options. The appropriate solutions seemed to be our interior waterproofing and a vapor barrier with drainage matting. This mix of products will work to keep the crawl space physically dry, by draining out any water intrusion, and it will keep the air dry and less humid because the vapor barrier will keep the moisture in the ground from evaporating into the air.

After we cleaned out the crawl space and installed our own long-term solutions, the crawl space looked great, and the homeowners were very happy with the results. This system has been protecting this crawl space for years, and it is designed to be the very best in crawl space protection.

Waterproofing Flooding Basement in Julian, NC

Water was easily getting into this basement. The block walls were covered in efflorescence, indicating where water had been held and evaporated. Our inspection of this house led us to propose that the homeowner get a full perimeter waterproofing with a vapor barrier against the wall.

This system will be able to capture water that comes up from the ground and down from the block. It can also keep the water, that may rest higher in the block, from evaporating out into the basement air. These products that we installed will keep water from flooding into the basement and help keep the humidity lower inside.

After our installation, the homeowners were very happy with the finished work, our communication, and job we did cleaning up. The basement is protected from flooding and humidity in ways it never was before and is ready to face the heaviest of rains.

Moldy, Musty, and Nasty Crawl Space Repair in Mc Leansville, NC

One of the worst conditions we have seen in a crawl space was the one at this home. Years of short-term, and largely useless, solutions had failed this crawl space and was causing problems that added much risk to the house. Issue number one was the mold that the high humidity was easily allowing to grow. Secondly, was the must and unhealthy air that was being filtered throughout the rest of the home. Lastly, the mess was a perfect catalyst for creatures nesting inside the crawl space. These were the main issues and do not take into account the ad hoc floor supports that were installed long ago.

The homeowners were ready to take their crawl space back and have it work for the home again. So, we inspected it and proposed a system that worked for them financially while solving the main issues. We went in and cleaned the entire crawl space out, which immediately made it harder for creatures to nest and thrive inside. Then we installed thermal wall insulation which allows the crawl space to treat the air inside it the same as the air inside the home. Since the crawl space air is being filtered throughout the home this step is very important. Lastly, we put down our CleanSpace vapor barrier that is designed to be durable within a crawl space and keeps the humidity down by keeping water vapor from the ground in the ground.

After the installation, the homeowners were very happy with the transformation. Of course, not every issue can be solved at once, but the home is much further along than it was. It now has actual long-term solutions in place to elevate the efficiency and reduce issues such as mold growth, bad air flow, and nesting creatures.

Waterproofing and Humidity Control in Moldy Jamestown, NC Crawl Space

The constant flooding and water build up inside this crawl space took a heavy toll on the home’s health. Mold growth was excessive, the air being filtered into the living areas was largely unhealthy, and issues with rapidly changing temperatures would occur.

The homeowners were tired of these issues and had us inspect the home. It was obvious that the high humidity from flooding and water vapor was the main source of the problem. So, we offered a solution that would waterproof the inside and provide protection from water vapor coming from the ground.

This system utilizes EZflow waterproofing that runs around the perimeter of the crawl space and into a SmartSump sump pump. It also has a CleanSpace vapor barrier that is perfect for keeping water vapor in the ground and out of the air. These two systems work together to protect this crawl space from water intrusion and the resulting high humidity. Once the humidity is decreased and the temperature is more controllable, the crawl space can be a healthy space without more mold growth.

The homeowners were thrilled with the work that we did. It was what they wanted and provided the protection they needed. It is hard to know what is going on inside of your crawl space, but we are specialists and are in crawl spaces every day to help homeowners understand what is best for their home. If you are concerned about the health of your home through your crawl space, call us! We love to help.

Sealing Moldy Crawl Space in Summerfield, NC

Mold had infested inside this crawl space, covering the floor joists. Years of little to no protection from water seepage and high humidity had left its mark. After concerns that this damage would eventually ruin the house, the homeowners had us do a free inspection.

Once we got into the crawl space it was clear what the problem was. High humidity was being caused by outside factors such as water from the ground and air outside the crawl space. To ensure that we protected the air from high humidity, we needed to put a system in place that sealed off the crawl space. We put together and installed a system containing CleanSpace vapor barrier, a SaniDry dehumidifying air system, and a sealed crawl space door.

This system works together to keep water vapor out of the air, which causes high humidity, and is what the vapor barrier is for. It also seals off the outside air from the inside crawl space air. This is done to keep the temperature outside from affecting how much water the air inside can hold before it starts to grow mold or precipitate. The last function, coming from the SaniDry dehumidifier, regulates the already protected air inside the crawl space. These three functions provide incredible protection from high humidity, and these homeowners were very happy with the results in their crawl space.

Waterproofing Leaking Basement in High Point, NC

Basements, such as this one, that are built partially above ground tend to experience water seepage quicker. This is because after each rain there is runoff and moist dirt running directly against the block or brick walls. All this water and moisture eventually seeps into the basement or evaporates into the basement air. This water was causing mold and pools of water to build up inside the home.

To fix the water intrusion and the related symptoms, we installed a full perimeter waterproofing system with WaterGuard and a TripleSafe sump pump. Also, we installed a SaniDry dehumidifying air system that will regulate the humidity in the basement to stop mold growth and keep existing mold dormant. After the installation we cleaned up and left the happy homeowners with a fully protected basement.

Dehumidifying Crawl Space with Reliable Vapor Barrier in Summerfield, NC

The crawl space under this home had a plastic covering over the ground which was most likely placed when the home was built. This covering was placed to bring the building up to code, but this protection from water vapor is an extremely short term and problematic one.

The main issue is the unreliability of this plastic covering. It is thin and rips easily as well as not being sealed down. This lets dirt and water from the ground get anywhere inside of the crawl space. When water from the ground can get into the air it raises the humidity and mold can easily grow. Our inspection indicated that these symptoms were already starting to form so we proposed a plan of products to install.

We installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier that is specifically designed to protect crawl spaces. This vapor barrier is a durable plastic that won’t rip, and it is sealed along the wall and up the piers. Installing a vapor barrier this way is much more protective against water vapor than thin and simple plastic thrown onto the dirt floor.

We also installed our SaniDry dehumidifying air system to help filter out the air and keep the humidity low. These two products together create a small system that managed air quality and keeps humidity low to mitigate the risk of mold growth and other unpleasant symptoms.

Dehumidifying and Waterproofing Nasty Crawl Space in Pleasant Garden, NC

This crawl space was like many others that, over time, became a breeding ground for issues caused by nature. Water seepage caused high humidity, mold, and rot, and the exposed ground assisted in raising the humidity as well as made it easier for creatures to nest inside. These problems were damaging the home making it less energy efficient and harming the air quality inside the home.

To fix the problems, we wanted to address the issues directly. So, we cleaned out the crawl space to start fresh. Then, we irrigated the crawl space and installed EZflow drains along the edge to collect water and send it out through a sump pump. After that, we installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier that keeps humidity down and moisture out. Lastly, we performed some mold remediation, sealed off the vents, and put in a dehumidifying air system to regulate the newly protected air inside the crawl space.

When the job was finished the homeowners were happy with the results. The new crawl space looked great and served a greater purpose in protecting the home and allowing it to run more efficiently.

Adding Steal Supports to Pool House in Colfax, NC

The pool outside this home had started to experience many problems from years of rain and erosion. The concrete pool deck was cracking and shifting as well as the shelter outside had begun to rust. The metal trusses running under the metal roof were so rusted that it was risky to be under the shelter. The homeowner wanted us to solve all these issues for them.

So, we did, and we pumped PolyLevel under the pool deck to stabilize it and sealed the cracks. We also replaced the metal truss with a new stainless steal beam to support the roof. This job was very straight forward but is just another example of how rainwater can impact the health of areas around the home.

The homeowners were happy to have their pool deck in better shape and their pool house safe to enter.

Anytime a heavy rain fell, this basement would flood. The block walls were so porous and held so much water that the humidity and musty smell rose rapidly. The homeowners were done with the useless and wet space, so they hired us to solve the problem.

We installed our WaterGuard drainage and TripleSafe sump pump to waterproof the interior. When we went to dig a trench to install our WaterGuard, water instantly flooded the trench from moisture held inside the walls. With these paths cleared out and our drainage system in place, whenever it rains the water will flow straight into our system. This helps reduce the damage being done to the wall by holding all the water in it and keeps the basement dry by getting all the water out of the home.

Our customers were very happy with the system we installed and have had a dry basement ever since. We were equally as happy and proud to of helped protect another basement from moisture issues and create dry usable space for the homeowners.

Encapsulating Crawl Space in Greensboro, NC

Underneath this home was a nasty and wet crawl space. The water leakage had gotten so bad that mold was readily growing on the exposed wood and the humidity rapidly changed the temperature. The homeowner wanted to get rid of these issues by protecting and waterproofing his crawl space, so he hired us.

We cleared out the messy crawl space and began to level it out. Then we installed EZ flow around the perimeter and ran it into a sump pump to waterproof the crawl. After that, we laid down CleanSapce vapor barrier along with SilverGlo wall insulation to keep moisture out of the air and keep the air a more consistent temperature. The last step to the full encapsulation was our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifying air system. This dehumidifier keeps the air clean and dry.

The homeowner was very happy with his newly sealed and protected home. Our foremen kept him informed throughout the project and made sure every was working properly before we cleaned up and left.

Mold Remideation in Summerfield, NC

The crawl space under this home had many issues and would have greatly benefitted from an entire encapsulation. However, the homeowners were just looking for a quick fix to the immediate mold situation. We were able to help in this capacity with our mold remediation probiotic treatment.

We went into the crawl space and sprayed the probiotic treatment throughout the entire crawl space. Hitting the floor joists, walls, and all organic material that mold can grow on. This probiotic infects the mold and renders is dormant, which will stop the growth. The unfortunate problem is that this treatment acts as more of a band-aid as it does not fix the main root of the problem.

When we were done, the homeowner was happy, and we were glad we could help ease the situation.

Repairing and Dehumidifying Crawl Space in Browns Summit, NC

Full of trash, dirt, and moisture, this crawl space was in major need of repairs. The harm being done to the home through mold, musty smells, energy inefficiencies, and nesting creatures needed to come to an end. So, the homeowners hired us to encapsulate the crawl space and protect it from future weathering.

The first thing we did was clear out the debris. This helps us create a clean slate. After that, we started to seal the entire crawl space in CleanSpace. Our durable and clean vapor barrier is wrapped around piers and up the walls to stop moisture from affecting the air quality. Once it was sealed, we installed our SaniDry dehumidifying air system to dehumidify and purify the air. These products worked together to lower the humidity inside the crawl space and freshen the air being filtered into the home above.

When we finished, the homeowners were very happy with the incredible transformation of their crawl space. Now this part of the home is equipped to protect the house and lower the previous risk factors.

Supporting Sagging Floor with SmartJacks in Greensboro, NC

The floor of this home started to sag inward and created complications for the home such as failing insulation, risk of cave ins, and letting air leak into the living areas. Now, the air of a crawl space will always travel through the main living areas but as the floor starts to sink, bigger gaps are formed, and more air can be let in.

So, to solve the problems that this sinking floor creates, we went to install our SmartJack solution. The homeowner had previously installed a generic form of jack in his crawl space to lessen the load, however these jacks are not designed to take on the weight of a home and do nothing in the way of long-term protection. We replaced this jack with our SmartJacks, which are specifically designed to support and hold the main floor of a home, and then we ran a steel I-beam to increase the support.

After the installation, the homeowner was thrilled to have the peace of mind that his entire home’s floor did not literally rest on a generic jack. Now, the home has the stabilization it needed and the functionality to adjust the support for long term success.

Sealing and Repairing Concrete Driveway in Greensboro, NC

The driveway to the house had cracked and shifted a lot over the years. When the homeowner’s realized how problematic this could become, they immediately searched for the best solution. We came out to inspect and gave them a great option other than re-pouring the area.

Our PolyLevel and NexusPro products help to stabilize, seal, and occasionally lift unruly concrete. We pumped the poly under the slab to fill the worn-out voids and reduce the pressure on top of the driveway. With this problem solved, it was safe to seal the cracks with NexusPro. This completes the protection of the concrete slabs.

The homeowners were very happy with the results and the price. Now this driveway poses no threat to utility and functions properly.

Waterproofing Leaking Basement in Browns Summit, NC

Built on a hill, this home’s basement walls were consistently saturated with water from runoff. Eventually, this became a problem and the leakage made it impractical to finish the basement. The homeowners decided to hire us to solve their water intrusion problems before they could consider finishing the area.

We inspected the home and found that a full perimeter drainage system with our WaterGuard drainage, CleanSpace vapor barrier, SaniDry dehumidifier, and TripleSafe sump pump would do the trick. To install these products, we dug a trench around the perimeter and put WaterGuard under the floor around gravel and re-poured the concrete over top. Then, we ran this trench into a sump pump basin that can send the water away from the home 24/7. The last step was to install CleanSpace to the walls and a SaniDry dehumidifying air system to help keep the other forms of moisture from becoming a problem and increasing the humidity.

The job was completed on time and the homeowners were thrilled with the work. Their basement is now protected from unwanted water seepage and can be finished without fear of moisture complications.

Greensboro, NC Crawl Space Encapsulation

Moisture brutally wrecked this crawl space by clumping insulation, raising the humidity, and causing mold growth. This once up to code crawl space started to see the negative effects of short-term solutions. To fix the moisture issues, we cleared and encapsulated the crawl space.

Our encapsulation process begins with clearing out the failing insulation and leveling out the crawl space for the best grade to install on. We put SilverGlo insulation on the walls to keep the temperature inside more consistent and cover the vents. Then we seal the crawl space in CleanSpace vapor barrier that keeps moisture from the ground from getting into the air. There are several other product options that can help keep the crawl space clean and dry such as our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, but the homeowner of this home started with just these two.

These products in this crawl space set the home up for success. The SilverGlo and CleanSpace are long-term solutions that will keep the crawl space in an immensely better condition than beforehand. The homeowners were happy with the result and with the possibility to upgrade other products in the future.

Leveling and Sealing Concrete Patio in Julian, NC

The concrete slab patio outside this home stated to crack and shift. Erosion underneath the poured slab left a void that caused these shifts. We were able to level it back into place and seal the cracks.

Our PolyLevel solution is a polyurethane liquid that quickly hardens in a chemical reaction to fill voids. When we pumped this under the slab, it hardened to lift the slab back into place and stabilize the concrete from further sinking. After that, we used NexusPro to seal the cracks. This product is waterproof and extremely durable which allows it to hold the cracked concrete slabs tightly together.

After we finished, the homeowners were very happy with the results. This process was quick and performed exactly as expected.

Underneath this home in High Point, NC there was the basement was experiencing extreme pressure from outside its walls. The pressure started to form small bowing at first and the homeowner applied carbon fiber strips to hold it back. However, in a short time, the other walls began to leak and crack severely.

The homeowner called us out to look at the reoccurring issue. We have the foundation equipment and products to handle this type of problem and suggested a PowerBraces with a waterproofing system. This way, the intruding water will not complicate the shifting wall and will be discharged out immediately. The PowerBraces are steel beam supports that are secured to the floor and supports above to hold back walls and can even be adjusted to help push walls back into place.

The job was finished, and the homeowners were happy. The basement under this home needed to be saved and we provided the exact solutions to do so.

Full Greensboro, NC Crawl Space Encapsulation

The thin plastic vapor barrier that was laid down in the crawl space when the home was built was not keeping the home protected. Water vapor was easily coming through the ground and walls which caused mold, made it harder to heat and cool the home, and filtered musty air through the home.

The homeowner was in search of a permanent solution, so he hired us to install the job. We installed our full encapsulation that included CleanSpace vapor barrier, SilverGlo wall insulation, and our SaniDry dehumidifier. Jacking Up and Stabilizing Floor in High Point, NC

Sinking concrete piers and general aging started to sag the home’s floor. We inspected the home thoroughly through the crawl space and interior of the home and found that the sinkage was due to a lack of support.

Luckily, this support could be found in the form of SmartJacks. We added supplemental support beams and jacked them up against the floor joists. The jacks now rest on concrete pavers and can withstand thousands of pounds of pressure.

Over time we will be able to adjust these jacks to keep the home safe. The homeowners were thrilled with the results and their newly protected home.

Encapsulating Moist and Moldy Crawl Space in Jamestown, NC

This crawl space has been having moisture problems for years. The weak plastic barrier that was laid down when it was built has ripped and exposed the ground. Having exposed ground inside the crawl space means that water can easily get into the air.

Mold was forming and rot was imminent. So, the homeowners decided to save their home by having their crawl space encapsulation. This process cleans out and sealed the crawl space from outside factors such as moisture. Once we control the air inside the crawl space, it can flow throughout the house and not bring musty air into the living spaces of the home.

Crawl Space Insulation and Waterproofing in Whitsett, NC

Michael in Whitsett, NC called us after noticing that his sump pump wasn't working properly in his uninsulated crawl space. Having a crawl space that is not insulated is already at risk for moisture to seep in from the dirt, but you add a broken sump pump to the mix - there could be serious trouble! Fortunately for Michael, he contacted the local professionals to come take care of it all!

Our team of experts at Carolina Basement Systems began this project by installing a WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system around the perimeter of the area. This nearly invisible drainage system is super durable, won't ever clog, and is designed to trap water seepage and guide it to a sump pump. For this project, a SuperSump Pump System with IceGuard protection was added to safely pump away any water - even during freezing weather conditions. To eliminate mold growth, odors, and dust mites, the team installed a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. Lastly, the crawl space was insulated with the economical SilverGlo Crawl Space Wall Insulation System. This closed-cell insulation will not soak up any moisture like other options do.

Michael's crawl space is now insulated and protected thanks to our hardworking crew here at CBS!

Moisture can create many risks to your home and family's overall health.

Our expert team got right to work on permanently stabilizing and protecting this home's structure! They installed our heavy-duty GeoLock wall anchor system. These earth anchors are planted into stable soil away from the foundation wall. Then, they are connected to steel anchors with long rods that when tightened won't only secure walls in their current position, but can also overtime completely straighten walls back to their original place. A LawnScape discharge outlet system was then put in place to be attached at the end of the sump pump discharge line. This outlet is subtle, blends in with landscaping, can withstand the weight of mowers, inhibits clogging, and has a removable cap for easy cleaning.
